HopScotch - Celebrating Beer, Whisky & Music

HopScotch is a celebration of local and independent beer, whisky and live entertainment. It aims to deliver good drink, good music and a good time to Kingston. It is the only event of its kind in the area.

 Must be 19 years of age or older to attend.

Celebrating Beer & Whisky:

Enjoy beverages from over a dozen brewers & distillers from Ontario and around the globe. Have you ever wondered what “single malt” means? Do you know the difference between an “ale” and a “lager”? HopScotch will feature beer and whisky connoisseurs who will provide specialized tours and information sessions to enhance your tasting experience.

Celebrating Music:

A good drink deserves a good soundtrack. Enjoy live entertainment in the baby grand theatre.

In between grooving to live music, take in special tasting sessions and learn about the beverages you can sample at HopScotch. Expert beer and whiskey connoisseurs will be on stage every 45 minutes.

 

Man Cub: 3:45-4:30pm

Man Cub is a Canadian powerpop band from Kingston, Ontario. They play high energy music that draws influence from many different genres. The band is currently working on their debut 5 song called "Little Games", set to be released soon.

All Systems Go: 4:45-5:30pm

All Systems Go is a modern rock cover band and they are ready to rock. From the Kingston area, the group got together with the basic desire to play music that people want to hear. They cover songs by artists such as the Foo Fighters, Florence and the Machine, Hole, Feist, Pearl Jam and plenty more.

Tracycally Hip: 5:45-6:30pm

Kingston's premier salute to one of Canada's greatest bands, The Tragically Hip. Tracycally Hip plays all your favourite Hip Tunes from 1983 to the present day. You will not be disappointed.

HopScotch is a fundraiser, organized and run by volunteers from the United Way KFL&A Next Gen initiative. Next Gen aims to engage a new generation of community stakeholders, encouraging them to invest their time, energy and money through the United Way.
