Just For Laughs is delighted to be back on the road with some of the funniest comedians around! The 19th edition of the Just For Laughs Road Show will bring four hilarious comics to Kingston for an evening of belly laughs and busted guts. This special Canadian edition will be hosted by Second City’s Cream of Comedy winner Mike Rita, and will feature writer and comedian Nour Hadidi, star of Ramy Dave Merheje, and this year’s Juno Award Winner for comedy album of the year Kyle Brownrigg! Don’t miss some of the best acts from the world’s largest and most prestigious comedy festival when the Just For Laughs Road Show rolls into Kingston Grand Theatre.
Comedian Mike Rita is exactly what you think a comic should be... funny, smart & relatable. He was the winner of the Second City's 'Cream of Comedy' and the runner-up, for Now Magazine's 2014 & 2015 'Best Male Stand-up’. Mike Rita has cemented himself in a class of his own, touring constantly across North America with his unique brand of 420 Ethnic comedy! With appearances on some of the biggest stages in comedy, including the world-famous Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, starring alongside Russell Peters on Roast Battles Canada or opening for the likes of Joe Rogan, Tommy Chong, and Gilbert Gottfried. Mike Rita’s comedy special ‘Live in Toronto’ filmed in front of a sold-out crowd at the downtown Yuk Yuk’s comedy club is now streaming on YouTube.
Nour Hadidi is a stand-up comic and writer. She has appeared at Just For Laughs, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Kevin Hart’s LOL Network, and CBC’s The Debaters, and more recently filmed a half-hour comedy special for Comedy Central in the Middle East. Nour has also written for CBC’s This Hour Has 22 Minutes, CTV Comedy’s The Beaverton, and Roast Battle Canada, as well Abroad on OMNI, and CBC Gem’s True Dating Stories.
Dave Merheje is considered to be one of the most original stand-up voices on the comedy scene today. His multiple award-winning act has gained a loyal following across North America with his “no fear” approach on stage and a comedy style best described as aggressive in-your-face funny. Dave had his first comedy special air in Australia on ABC2. His second special “Good Friend Bad Grammar“ won the 2019 Juno Award for Comedy Album of the Year. His third special “Beautifully Manic,” can be seen on Netflix as part of Comedians of the World, and his fourth special titled “I Love You Habibi” recently premiered on Crave TV and was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award. Dave is a regular at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and has made multiple appearances at JFL42 in Toronto, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Halifax Comedy Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Australia, and tours clubs and theatres regularly. Dave was a regular contributor on MTV Live, played Mr. Bechara on CBC’s Mr. D, and currently can be seen in the indy film Sometimes I Think About Dying opposite Daisy Ridley. Dave also co-stars in the critically acclaimed comedy series Ramy on Hulu and CraveTV.
Kyle Brownrigg is a JUNO Award-winning comedian for his sophomore comedy album “A Lylebility.” In 2019 he was a finalist in SiriusXM's Top Comic Competition, one of JFL42's New Faces, was selected for the prestigious Just for Laughs Homegrown show, and as a result, he was awarded the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Breakout Artist. In May 2022 Brownrigg released his debut Just for Laughs comedy special 'Introducing Lyle' on Crave which was one of the highest-trending comedy specials of the year. Kyle can be seen on many television series such as Roast Battle Canada, The Standup Show with Jon Dore, Comedy Night with Rick Mercer, Humour Resources, The New Wave of Stand-up, and The Halifax Comedy Festival on CBC. He is also a regular on the hit CBC Radio show The Debaters. Kyle is also a national touring stand-up comedian who has performed across the entire country including the Arctic. With his years of experience and unique style of joke writing and delivery, Kyle Brownrigg is certainly someone you don't want to miss.
