Performing some of the best music ever created in a live concert setting is at the heart of what the Kingston Symphony does, and we do it for you! Our purpose is to make a connection, elicit an emotional response, and show you an outstanding time out on the town.
For those interested in the best of the best in orchestral music, we have a blockbuster season ahead. From a performance of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade as it has never been done before to legendary pianist Janina Fialkowska returning on a program of musical celebrities. From Scott St. John and Sharon Wei performing Mozart's incredible Sinfonia Concertante, to prodigy and fellow Kingstonian Leonid Nediak making his Kingston Symphony début alongside Beethoven's moving Pastoral Symphony. Jeanne Lamon leads our musicians in an inspired Baroque program and for The Full Score, we take on Mahler’s powerful and rarely performed Symphony No. 2. A Dvorak Festival, where we perform his final two symphonies closes the season, showcasing the talents of the entire orchestra
Looking for a fun night out? Treat yourself to the Last Night of the Proms. Laugh with Natalie Choquette who makes her glorious return. We are thrilled to welcome Quartetto Gelato to our Pops Series. We finish things off with a barn burner of a traditional Big Bang revue, courtesy of our very own Greg Runions. Lastly, don't forget our family concerts and traditional Christmas performances!
This is a truly amazing season, and we can't wait to experience it, together with you.
