Kingston Symphony Orchestra

“Nothing stirs us like a live symphonic experience. Music stimulates our passion, fuels our mind, and engages our senses.” – Glen Fast, Music Director

The Kingston Symphony is passionate about performing for you. Great music performed live is the ultimate experience. This season encompasses the full spectrum of musical tastes including performances by renowned guest artists such as piano virtuoso James Parker, superb mezzo-soprano Susan Platts, and award-winning cellist Denise Djokic, to name just a few.

Celebrating its 59th season in 2012-2013, the Kingston Symphony Association exists to produce and promote professional quality program of instrumental and choral music for the education, enjoyment and enrichment of audiences in the Greater Kingston area. The Kingston Symphony is dedicated to the support, development and showcasing of Canadian artists and composers.

It is the umbrella organization for six performing ensembles: Kingston Symphony, Kingston Choral Society, Kingston Youth Orchestra, Kingston Youth Strings, Kingston A-Strings, and Kingston Community Strings – each an invaluable resource for young and old, amateur and professional.

There are more than 200 members of the Kingston Symphony Association Volunteer Committee who work tirelessly to host various events and raise funds for the operation of our organization.

Whether you are a seasoned classical music fan or someone who is just discovering the beauty and power of the repertoire, please join the Kingston Symphony this year and experience our passion for performance!
