Kingston Symphony Orchestra

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Kingston Symphony.  We are proud to have been part of the Kingston community for this long.  We look forward to performing a season of music featuring an incredible line-up of guest artists worthy of this significant milestone.

Our Sunday afternoon Masterworks Series includes six performances featuring some of the country's most celebrated soloists in music by Brahms, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Schumann, and more.  Violinist Scott St. John performs Beethoven's Violin Concerto, pianist Jan Lisiecki returns to perform Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, and cellist Desmond Hoebig performs Schumann's Cello Concerto, to name just a few.

If you're looking for a fun-filled Saturday evening, we can provide four!  Our new Pops Series has it all.  Cirque de la Symphonie brings circus magic to the concert hall.  We salute 50 years of James Bond movie music and perform scores from some of your favourite award-winning films at our movie night.  Violinist Andy Stein presents a program featuring the best of classical and jazz violin.  One of Canada's leading musical theatre talents, David Rogers, brings Broadway to Kingston.

Our special concerts include two choral masterpieces, Orff's Carmina Burana and Mozart's Requiem.  New this season is a concert especially for children.  This is an ideal way to share the wonderful world of classical music with your family and friends.  Now a holiday tradition, our Candlelight Christmas concert is the perfect way to celebrate the season.

Whether you are a seasoned classical music fan or someone who is just discovering the beauty and power of the repertoire, please join the Kingston Symphony this year and experience our passion for performance!
