This is not a Grand Theatre Presents performance.
Our 2017 theme, MUSIC, explores the minds of iconic musicians, and the movements inspired by them throughout the 20th century. We are to look into the social, political, and artistic worlds created by these iconic musicians, and try to represent their legacies through fashion, dance, and music.
The Vogue Charity Fashion Show (VCFS) is an annual performing arts show that is produced and executed entirely by Queens University students. The show was first established in 1997 by a small group of students performing in Grant Hall. Over the last twenty years, VCFS has grown into one of the largest student-run and charitable organizations at Queens, as well as one of the most highly anticipated events within the Queens and Kingston Community. VCFS provides the opportunity for students to showcase their creative talents and abilities, for ambitious leaders to be a symbol of social responsibility and for students to give back to the community in a meaningful way. The cast comprises over 120 students, including talented and passionate dancers, models, musicians, choreographers, student designers, photographers, videographers, graphic designers, a technical crew, interns and the executive committee.
VCFS has developed a tight-knit community of club members, alumni, and supporters, all of whom are instrumental in helping to achieve its fundraising goals. With community support, VCFS has raised and donated over $350,000 to different Kingston-based charities over the last 20 years. This year, we are supporting Camp Trillium, which offers year-round recreational experiences to bring children with cancer and their families together. Through activities tailored to all abilities, Camp Trillium provides an environment that helps with the healing process and enhances the quality of life for children and their families. If you are unable to attend our show, but are still interested in supporting our cause, please donate to https://donate.camptrillium.com/vcfs/info
