Ken brings us middle-grade graphic novel Inkling, about an artists ink blot that comes to life, and Tim Wynne-Jones presents crossover YA thriller The Ruinous Sweep. In conversation with kidlit editor Shelley Tanaka, Ken and Tim talk about why they write for kids, the phenomenal rise in crossover fiction --- books written for children and young adults but attractive to adults --- and why its important for adults to read children's and YA literature.
