Originally founded as a trio, the members of America were barely out of their teens when they won the Best New Artist Grammy Award in 1972. A string of hits followed – 'A Horse with No Name', 'Sister Golden Hair', 'Ventura Highway' and many more. In the late seventies, they became a duo and that line-up remains to this day.
In 2006 America was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. On February 6, 2012, the group was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Throughout they have continued to tour and play over 100 dates a year.
