This performance marks the Kingston debut of "Music Creates Opportunity," a co-production with support from the National Arts Centre and Canada Dance Festival that grew out of the Bboyizm residency at the Grand Theatre in 2012.
Dancing since 1997, Crazy Smooth is one of Canada’s top street-dance performers. A Canadian treasure, choreographer, instructor, judge and community leader, he is the founder and artistic director of Bboyizm, an award-winning street-dance company that has been instrumental in the preservation and proliferation of street dance in Canada and internationally.
While in town for their performance Bboyizm will participate in a local showcase of urban culture, featuring dance battles, hip-hop demonstrations, slam poetry, graffiti and dance workshops in conjunction with the Y2K Kingston Youth Forum scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 22-24.
