Cantabile’s children and youth voices will take the stage at the beautiful Isabel Bader Centre for an enchanting concert that explores the world of fantasy and imagination through music. As part of a guest-artist residency, Cantabile is thrilled to welcome Malaysian-Canadian composer and conductor Dr. Tracy Wong, Professor of Choral Studies at Western University.

a smiling lady Dr. Wong, hailing from Malaysia, is a renowned choral conductor, music educator, composer, vocalist, and pianist. She is dedicated to helping choral educators provide unique experiences for their students through collaborative commissions, customized workshops, festivals, and artist residencies. Dr. Wong regularly conducts workshops for choirs in North America and internationally, and her compositions are widely published and performed globally.

Dr. Wong will lead the choirs in a varied musical program featuring fantastic places, stories, and beasts from around the world. The program includes works by Canadian composer Nancy Telfer, Kingston-based composer Dean Burry, and two world-premiere works by Dr. Wong.
