Cherish The Ladies

Cherish the Ladies has been captivating audiences worldwide for over 38 years, with their rousing blend of traditional Irish music, captivating vocals, and propulsive step dancing.

This Grammy-nominated Irish American supergroup formed in New York City in 1985 to celebrate the rise of women in what had been a male-dominated Irish music scene.

Led by Joanie Madden, these gifted women create an incredible moving experience brimming with sheer talent and exuberant entertainment. The performances feature All-Ireland champions Mirella Murray on accordion and Nollaig Casey on fiddle, along with the nimble finger-work of Mary Coogan on guitar, the beautiful vocals of County Clare songstress Kate Purcell, and the extremely talented County Galway native, with Catherine McHugh on piano.
