After almost 20 years of touring, producing platinum selling albums, winning countless East Coast Music Awards, including Entertainer of the Year five years straight from 1996 to 2000, and having been nominated for several JUNO Awards for Group of the Year with the band Great Big Sea, founding member Alan Doyle is now stepping out on his own.
The Canadian folk-star released his first solo album Boy on Bridge in 2012 and has been following with live performances that complement this new phase of his career. Having worked with a talented pool of artists such as Hawksley Workman, Jim Cuddy, Sean Panting, Mike Post, Russell Crowe, and Colin James, the songs on Doyle’s solo CD are sure to easily come to life for a live performance. Doyle is currently working on his second solo album and his first book.
