HIGH VALLEY 

Country fans are no strangers to the uncanny musical connection of a family band, but they've never heard anything like the duo High Valley - and that's simply because brothers Brad and Curtis Rempel never knew how country was "supposed" to sound.

Growing up in La Crete, Alberta - more than 2,500 miles from where they now live in Music City - Brad and Curtis were completely cut off from the world of pop culture throughout their early lives.

"It's not that we weren't allowed to have a radio," lead singer and songwriter Brad, explains. "We had radios, but you turned them on and heard a lot of static from an AM station 300 miles away. When it was cold enough you could hear the farm report, the price of grain and the occasional old school country song. We finally got FM in our town when I was in 10th grade."

While their upbringing didn't exactly acquaint them with the Billboard 100, it's that insulation that helped cement their musical ideals and love of simple, classic country, allowing High Valley's music to feel simultaneously fresh and timeless. Dear Life, their recently released major label debut on Atlantic/Warner Music Nashville, is an album that fuses tradition with wide-eyed musical exploration, stays true to their family-first value system and celebrates resilient positivity.

High Valley learned to become skilled digital citizens, building an avid fan base that is actively involved in selecting the duo's songs through the High Valley app and connecting with each other via social media. As a result, they have amassed more than 43 million song streams worldwide including 22 million for first single "Make You Mine".

HUNTER BROTHERS 

 

Luke, J.J., Ty, Brock and Dusty -- a.k.a. Hunter Brothers -- are the epitome of Canadiana country. The five brothers from Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, grew up singing gospel with their family across Canada and the U.S., working on the family farm and playing hockey for the likes of the Kelowna Rockets to Edmonton Oilers.

After taking a timeout from their various professions -- and on a break from seeding -- the brothers found themselves drawn to the singing that united them in their childhood. Having each played instruments, including piano and guitar, since pre-kindergarten, the boys brought their exceptional talents together and for the first time began to turn their hands to country music.

Hunter Brothers' first single, "El Dorado," was created with the stellar production skills of Brad Rempel (High Valley), Grammy award-winning producer Seth Mosley and Michael "X" O'Connor. Their follow up single, "Long Way to Love You," an upbeat track about long distance love, was a Top-40 radio hit late last year.

Since their explosive launch, the brothers have been performing live acoustic sets on radio stations and television spots, sharing their versatile harmonies and soulful sound across the country. They've also become known for their unparalleled ability to create song parody videos – with their most recent attempt, "The Tractor Got Stuck" gaining more than 1.5 million organic views on Facebook.

Their brand new single and video "Born & Raised" is available now from their highly-anticipated debut album (titled "Getaway") that hit March 3rd digitally and in stores March 17th. The Hunter Brothers are soon to be on everyone's radars -- and playlists.

Shawn Austin

With a passion and reverence for the art of music and performance that has landed him a label deal with Country music star, Dallas Smith's Steelhead Music, Vanc ouver native and country-soul singer Shawn Austin introduces his signature soulful and sultry sound to the masses today with the release of his debut single "Paradise Found". Available now at iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify, the song is produced by Scott Cooke.

A country singer with an extraordinary voice, Austin often finds himself drawing comparisons to southern country rocker Chris Stapleton, and keeping with the Grammy winning artist's laid-back vibe and honest lyricism it's not difficult to see why. After Smith heard the Vancouver native's supernova voice, he knew he wanted to work with him. 

"I came across Shawn's powerhouse voice when a close friend (and Shawn's co-manager - Barry Jorgens) sent me the music demo Shawn was working on," shares Dallas Smith, co-manager/Steelhead Music. "It was an instant...who the hell is that moment."
