Andy Eldritch thought she had found her escape in the bustling streets of New York as a seemingly successful musician after growing up in a place that did nothing but hold her back. However, as Andy struggles to cope with a mental illness, a condition the hectic activity of New York only worsens, she seeks refuge in the one place she knows will welcome her home, Leeds. Spurred by the idea of a final high school band reunion to celebrate their bond, Thomas, Bill, Laura, and Andy reunite. Back together in the town that shaped their childhoods, they come to realize that while some things have changed over time in Leeds, the past still haunts each of them in a way they cannot break free from, threatening to spill over into the present. As the show nears, tensions rise and forgotten heartbreak and pain are rekindled. Long-held bonds of love and friendship are put to the test in a search for the one thing none of them have been able to find closure.
