Les Belles-Soeurs

Michel Tremblays classic dark comedy, Les Belles-Soeurs, is set in 1965 Montreal against the backdrop of the quiet revolution. Change is coming in Quebec and Canada, and in the kitchen of Germaine Lauzon, who gathers family, friends & neighbours, to celebrate her good fortune; the winning of one million trading stamps. Through laughter, and tears, the evening of celebration reveals three generations of women with nothing to lose and everything to gain, joined together as they attempt to reconquer their dignity as human beings.
