Internationally acclaimed pianist, singer, and songwriter Michael Kaeshammer is set to embark on an extensive coast-to-coast Canadian tour to close out 2022. The five-week, 24-date return to the road begins Nov. 9 in Nova Scotia and finds the decorated performer and his band visiting a wide variety of communities and concert venues to bring Canadians back together through music.

"I'm very much looking forward to getting back out there to reconnect with people", Kaeshammer enthuses. "I've been very fortunate to continue making music through this pandemic, but nothing compares to the experience of reciprocating energy with a roomful of people during a live performance; now more than ever, I'm eager to share that experience with as many people in as many communities as possible."

As such, the artist is promising an uplifting evening of music and storytelling, regardless of whether he's performing in an iconic theatre in the provincial capital or a community hall in a small cultural hub. While the shows will undoubtedly include selections spanning his beloved back catalogue, fans new and old will also be treated to a preview of his upcoming release, "Turn It Up". Expected in early 2023, the collection finds Kaeshammer building on his signature blend of classical, jazz, blues, and boogie-woogie with effortless pop hooks for a compelling crossover style that's immediately engaging yet impressively substantial.

"This pandemic made me reflect on life and what's most important", says Kaeshammer in closing. "The songwriting on 'Turn It Up' is rooted in these thoughts and served as a good reminder of the joy that music brings me even in trying times. I can't wait to share that joy with my fans again."

ABOUT MICHAEL KAESHAMMER: Born and raised in Germany, Michael Kaeshammer began performing on club, theatre, and festival stages throughout Europe in his early teens and continued that trajectory after emigrating to Canada with his family in the mid-90s. His first studio album, "Blue Keys", dropped in 1996 and spurred a consistent sequence of heralded releases and high-profile international performances. Career highlights include opening slots for the likes of Ray Charles and Anne Murray; recording sessions with rockers Randy Bachman and Colin James; official Olympic Games performances in several world cities; dozens of prestigious awards and nominations, including seven JUNO Award nods; and TV specials on numerous networks.
