Please pardon our Maestro for invoking a little of his own agenda for this concert, which he has filled with some of his favourite music. Strausss Vienna Bonbons is sublime, Lalos Cello Concerto, particularly as performed by Rachel Mercer, is a musical treasure trove, and Dvorak's Eighth Symphony is a melodic smorgasbord from the very first note. Yes, this is an indulgence for our Music Director, but these magnificent pieces of music might become some of your favourites too!
