Paddington Gets In A Jam

In this original slapstick comedy, Paddington goes next door to borrow a cup of sugar from his neighbor Mr. Curry, who is in a panic because he’s expecting a visit from his Great Aunt Matilda. And so, Paddington volunteers to help Mr. Curry with his to-do list before her imminent arrival.
Throughout the afternoon Paddington attempts items on the list – repair the pipes in the bathroom, vacuum the floors, install new wallpaper, bake a cake…. But in typical Paddington fashion, nothing goes to plan. The pipes burst and flood the bathroom. The vacuum cleaner misbehaves and leaves dust everywhere. Paddington adds too much self-rising flour to the cake, and his efforts at wallpapering turn into catastrophic (and sticky) chaos!

Will Paddington be able to fix everything before Great Aunt Matilda arrives?

Join us before the show! Ticketholders are welcome to join us at 5:30 p.m. in the Davies Lounge at Kingston Grand Theatre for the fun and lively musical stylings of local trio Patsy, Shari & Sharon AKA "The Grannies". Limited spots available on a first-come first-served basis

About The Grannies:

Fun and melodic singers and instrumentalists, Patsy Johnson, Shari Doseger, and Sharon Klassen play guitar, violin, flute, and ukulele. Shari's rich vocals are embellished with harmonies by sisters Patsy and Sharon. Having collaborated for over 20 years, their repertoire includes music by Raffi, Jack Johnson, and The Wiggles.

The Grannies previously entertained at Tett Centre's "Kids Creativity Club". Beginning in 2014, Patsy and Shari have been Artists-in-Residence in Limestone District School Board Kindergarten classes. As Artist Educators, music has been foundational to teaching young children valuable social skills. Through engaging songs, stories and puppets, children were introduced to the musical arts. Inclusion, kindness, and friendship were the focus of teaching. Along with children’s classics, original songs were written from a child’s perspective. The songs were easy to learn and sing. Sessions were sponsored by the Ontario Arts Council.

Both Shari and Patsy are trained Educators (E.A./E.C.E.).
