Prolific songwriter and proclaimed as one of Canada’s major talents by critics, fans, and the industry alike, Royal Wood releases his 5th studio album,The Burning Bright in 2014. Thealbum registers a number of firsts for Wood, whose chart-topping 2012 release of the JUNO Award-nominated album, We Were Born To Glory, firmly established him as one of the country’s most accomplished alt-pop singer/songwriters, producers, arrangers, and multi-instrumentalists.
It has been a road of accolades and accomplishments leading up to now. In 2008, Royal was crowned Songwriter of the Year by iTunes and in 2011 his album The Waiting earned a Juno Award nomination for Songwriter of the Year – further establishing him among the elite of Canadian songwriting.
His music has also been featured in several TV and film productions, including Grey's Anatomyand Private Practice, bringing his sound to a variety of audiences.
