“I know who I was when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.” ― Lewis Carroll
From the warm glint over the horizon at daybreak to the dapples of shadow at nightfall, light is an unavoidable entity. Although it must distort to accommodate us, we give it meaning; a lighthouse evokes hope, the stars show direction, and spotlights highlight artistry. Just as much as it unflinchingly exposes difficult truths, light can also simultaneously bring boundless warmth. Through our daily interactions with light, we find it is transformed—and so too, are we.
Highly anticipated by both Queens University students and the Kingston community, the Vogue Charity Fashion Show (VCFS) is an annual performing arts show produced and executed entirely by students at Queens University. 28 years in the making, VCFS is the largest student-run club on campus and has become the largest student-run fashion show in all of Canada.
From dancers, models, musicians, choreographers, student designers, makeup and hair artists, along with a dedicated executive committee, the immensely talented and highly passionate team functions as a symbol of social responsibility. VCFS’s team of over 170 members is extremely proud to be able to give back through its creativity and philanthropy, and we are eager to be able to do it again this year by donating all proceeds to H’Art Centre. Our team has artfully shaped this year's show, LET THE LIGHT IN, highlighting how light’s transformations in our daily lives infuse it with meaning.
