The colourful journeys of three disparate women, bound together by tragedy, discovery and love; Beautiful, tormented Gwen, Edie the Cockney scullery maid and later nanny to young Carolyn, Gwen's daughter. Carolyn, now in her 80's, recreates them and tells their stories with searing honesty and much irreverent humour.
