Grand OnStage is proud to present Radical System Art’s ‘Momentum of Isolation’ on Wednesday, October 16th from extraordinary Artistic Director and Contemporary Dance Choreographer, Shay Kuebler.
The workshop on Tuesday, October 15th, led by Kuebler, will explore physical techniques in numerous forms of martial arts and dance, leading to improvisation and choreographic exploration. Radical System Art is based on the theory of finding a raw physicality that can be shaped with technique. Classes look to diversify and challenge technical ability, while also expanding movement theory and interpretive depth as a performer.

WHO: Intermediate and advanced dance students, ages 16+.

Participants should be intermediate or advanced students, pre-professional, or professional dancers.

Spaces are limited and available on a first-come first-served basis via the online registration form below. All participants must be registered. Only those who have been successfully placed in the workshop will receive a confirmation email- please check your spam folder. The confirmation email will include a waiver that must be completed and submitted via email in advance of the workshop in order to attend (no exceptions). Minors (under 18 years of age) will require the signature of a parent or guardian on their waiver.

Workshops demand physical agility and endurance. Come dressed to move freely in appropriate attire and footwear. A labelled water bottle is suggested.

About Shay Kuebler:
Shay Kuebler works as a creative director, show director, artistic director and choreographer for some of the largest productions in entertainment, working with a range of performers from martial artists and Olympians to stunt performers and dancers.
As a child of the 1980's, his love for action films and martial arts got him hooked on movement and storytelling. He started his theatre and martial arts training at the age of 5, and this led him to become a very good "generalist". He's travelled the world studying everything from Shaolin Kung Fu and Tap dance to Taiko drumming and physical theatre. He believes his versatility, and the values he carries from martial arts, enable him to be an asset on any production.
Building creative concepts and immersive worlds. As an artistic director, Shay develops creative worlds that can be filled with artistic content and impactful performances. With his company Radical System Art - RSA, Shay has produced, directed and choreographed 7 shows that have toured nationally and internationally.
