Canadian Comic Legend Award winner, Mike MacDonald, will be cracking up audiences throughout Ontario as the host of this year’s tour. MacDonald is a writer, actor and comedian and is known for his roles as Kurt Murdoch in Mr. Nice Guy, the voice of Rip in The Ripping Friends, and his stand-out performance on Comedy Night in Canada. He also starred in his own specials entitled Mike MacDonald; On Target, My House! My Rules! and Happy As I Can Be.
Louie star and Just For Laughs Comedy Tour alumnus, Robert Kelly, has been winning over audiences for the last 18 years. In addition to clubs and colleges nationwide, Kelly has traveled across the country in the Tourgasm Live tour with Dane Cook and Gary Gulman and has performed at the Just For Laughs Festival (Montreal 2010 & 2013). He was recently seen as Louis CK's brother Robbie on FX’s Louie and on CBS’s drama NYC 22 produced by Robert DeNiro. His other credits include the Comedy Central Special Comics Anonymous, Comedy Central Presents Robert Kelly, Tourgasm on HBO and Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC. His movie credits include Ghost Town and Good Luck Chuck. He produced and starred in his first short film Cheat which debuted at The Tribeca Film Festival in New York. He has a book published by Simon & Schuster based on the movie and a top rated podcast called You Know What Dude? that can be found on iTunes or riotcast.com.
Texas-native, Cristela Alonzo, has appeared on Conan, Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham and Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand Up Revolution. She was also a featured comedian on Showtime Network’s Legally Brown. Cristela has also written for Comedy Central and has won numerous awards for her short films, including Best Film at the Boston Comedy Festival and recently made her acting debut on FX’s Sons of Anarchy. In 2012, Cristela was the most requested performer at the National Association of Campus Activities where she was booked to perform at over 100 colleges and universities across the country, bringing the total number of colleges at over 200 that she’s performed at over the past three years. Cristela most recently received a development deal from 20th Century Fox to develop her own half-hour sitcom based on her life.
Arthur Simeon is not your typical Torontonian-by-way-of-Kampala, Uganda comedian. This one is unique; Arthur brings a funny, rich and authentic African viewpoint to living in North America. A gifted and enchanting storyteller, Arthur recently taped the second season of Just For Laughs' Funny As Hell series on HBO, he is a favorite on the CBC Radio hit shows Laugh Out Loud and The Debaters and has appeared three times at the prestigious Just For Laughs festivals in Montreal. Arthur was also featured on the cover of Toronto's NOW magazine, in the Globe & Mail, National Post and is a regular contributor to George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight on CBC Television. Also, Arthur likes pancakes and sleeping in. Watch this rising star as he continues to build an international comedy career.
